Figures calculated this morning indicate that occupancy levels have increased in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA in the past four weeks.

Hopefully management are now focusing on:

Consultation with families of children who are heading into formal schooling next year. In the year prior to formal schooling preschoolers certainly benefit from increased days in early education. IMO three days minimum, and with school transition programmes in full swing and formal schooling commencing their headstart programmes, it's an ideal time to improve occupancy with current enrolments.

Next years enrolments, no marketing gimmicks. Hold parent information nights now detailing the vision and goals for next year. Survey parents now for next year, what they would like to see, involve parents more, create a feeling of ownership.

Look at the re enrolments for next year and monitor closely the required staff to child ratio's. Excess staff are not required at the beginning of the year.
