Another large provider has some of it's centres offering between $25-$35 discount on daily sessions, for the remainder of 2018. This is being offered to new families enrolled for 2019, encouraging them to start early and improve those occupancy numbers for the end of year reports. Anyone would think they are trying to sell!
The main focus should now be on occupancy for 2019 and filling those younger age groups who will hopefully firm up enrolments for the next five years.
Attracting quality educators is difficult as G8 will be competing against some private centres who are currently paying their ECT's 30% over the award.
Things have settled with the CCS, but it's important to hear the position of the DoE regarding the flexible hours and daily fees, in case other changes have to be made that may affect occupancy.
