Makes sense to use a surfer to help market a wave energy company. But I think they need to complete commercial demonstration first - its the number one priority. Then perhaps think about marketing. Plus, who is the target market? I assume utilities and governments around the globe. Maybe also forward thinking communities like Ucluelet in Canada...? You need to think about who you are targetting, unless of course you are doing brand recognition... but of course you wouldn't do this until you had a tried and tested commercialised product ready to go.
