They had no idea. Every article that comes out has a different opinion on where the missing heat is or how much heat is missing.
NASA have stated "The temperature of the top half of the world's oceans -- above the 1.24-mile mark -- is still climbing, but not fast enough to account for the stalled air temperatures."
I think that pretty well sums what everyone else in the world knows. And that is we have not yet nailed the science. It is not yet settled. Why are you convincing yourself. Doesn't all the inconsistencies of articles from approved peer reviewed scientist raise alarm bells for warmist. Surely you must question "how settled is this science."
