I note in Fert Week's Thurs Market Report 29 Jan 2009, that it says the following: "It is understood that representatives from OCP/Morocco's joint venture partner PPL held a meeting earlier in the week in Paris to discuss the supply of phosphate rock during the first quarter of 2009 but no contract price agreement was agreed. OCP's Q1 2009 price ideas for phosphate rock stand at $250-280/t fob." (and those $'s quoted are US). Here's hoping OCP stand firm & get their price in this presently tough market. On my calculations at today's exchange rate (approx 64c), that's AU$390-437. That's a decent margin with a AU$150 Opex (or less), and the RP price will most likely be stronger by the time we're selling. Here's hoping!! Has anyone else heard anythign on RP price?
