Octaviar Suit Against Fortress Affiliates to Proceed

Affiliates of Fortress Investment Group  will face litigation related to the 2008 collapse of Australian hotel and financial services conglomerate Octaviar  Group, a federal judge has ruled.
The ruling, handed down Friday by Judge P. Kevin Castel of the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, knocked out several claims against the Fortress affiliates but means the investment firm will have to defend itself against the bulk of the lawsuit's claims at a future trial
