I agree with fairisfair.
Also...the timing of the PIF move to Wellington may have been a result of Octaviar being cornered time wise to do this...effectively making Wellington trust Chris Scott without doing due dilligence or ASIC / RBOS winding up the PIF.
Anyone considered that?
There is a lot we dont know.
I have heard specualtion of 25 offers for OCV's funds side of the business....but still to this date....only anonymous forum posters stating this is the case.
Wellington may have done the PIF a big favour.
Its real hard to know exactly what happened and why but I still remain 100% confident that Chris Scott is the man for the OCV head job even if we go belly up.
If OCV goes belly up...I lose a couple hundred thousand...him around $250 million.
Anyway....we are all just specualting and the real facts are the public trustee now want to wind up OCV.
So we ar enow in the courts hands to decide where our future lies.
I wouldn;t get too worried about the whole OCV situation....its basically out of control and now the creditors have kicked in with how they want to see things happen.
I'm quite sure the Public Trustee wants to see OCV sink as they are QLD government and can make up there $385 million loss buy asking for extra Tax POayer money in their next budget......oh....government departments.....the most non-motivate...non-survival based species I have come across in humans.
I just hope OCV pays well for top QC's.....that I dont mind seeing OCV money spent on. They can argue out the definition of the word "the" placed in a parti9cular place in a sentence and win a case....very intelligent people.
Enough from me. Dont stress people....not much we can do. We will know in 6-8 weeks where we stand. But as its turns quite messy with the Public Trustee wanting to wind up OCV....I would personally right it off and assume we are gone....then anything other then that.....you win.
I am there already....got there about 3-4 weeks ago.....so am very cruisy and even taken them off my watchlist...just expecting a "administration notice" any day now..but its depends how they go in court.
