NOAA certainly not satellite figures just heat island affected local measurements adjusted accordingly and guessed by NOAA for the large areas of the globe where they have no measuring sites.
Mind you even if they are roughly correct a global temperature average of 14.89 or 15-16 deg C (allowing for the guess work of their adjustments ) is one where we should be yelling . "Bring on some heat".
Glad to see they acknowledge La Nina as the main driver of temperatures
in the southern hemispheres

The New Pause has shortened by a month to 6 years 8 months on the UAH data, but has lengthened by a month to 7 years 7 months on the HadCRUT4 dataset.
