I suppose it could go back to the complacency base of 10 but looking back it seems late stage bull and bear markets seem to be 20.

1997 right through to 2003 was 20.

There may be a 81/2 cal thing from earlier lows looking at previous patterns.

that may suggest a pullback post expiration into the last day or two of the trading month.

You would expect a push up on the last day to cook the books.

Then perhaps mid the next week we could start falling again.
