The BBC used to have a bloke on a semi permanent arrangement to do animal impressions on programs, especially dogs, birds but other things too
He started in the 1950s and worked till about the 1980s.
His name was Percy Edwards.
It makes you wonder why they didn't just have recorded sounds. Union rules maybe.
