I bet the agenda is very simple.
The USA, in desperate need of revenue, wants Australia to lead the way with sharply increased resource taxes so the USA will then just follow to be consistent.
What a joke, while resource rich nations like Canada and Brazil have very low taxes and intend keeping them low.
