Here's a fresh quote from Big Boffa today:

But would it be welcomed?

''Very few things are welcomed,'' he says. ''I don't expect people to welcome anything. What I expect government to do is make decisions on what's in the best interests [of the state].''

Sounds great, doesn't it! A man of integrity and principle, determined to do what is best for the state. Ahead of political self-interest.

What a pity he's not a man of principle. If he were, this would apply to the gas industry as well as what he was defending.

What he was actually talking about was his hidden encouragement of James' Packers Casino.
