Hi Seeya ..good idea, been doing it for some years to try to keep ahead of the tax man.used to be 3 months now (I believe ) is 1 month. Seems the tax man worked out what all you (and me) buggers were doing for the past 10+ years and hoped to stop it.Price over past month supposed be a "reasonable" level of trading during that period.I put what best suits me over past 2-3 months and rely on them still being short staffed to check on every share market transaction,and bingo, if not found in an audit within 5 yrs, you get away with it.Depends upon the amount of $ involved and if you feel lucky.Did it when selling Niagara at around 1.60-1.80 and had bought in at 17 and 21c,sold 150000 of them to my SMSF for 45c and then sold again and with some luck it won't be noticed by ATO. .... regards....
