Second - I am interested in purchasing PNC shares off market (as a trading halt remains through the ASX), at a discount to the last traded price. While the impacts of Carlyles withdrawal, current and future effects of Covid, bank sentiment, consumer sentiment, prospective financier sentiment, etc has been debated to no end (and I don't propose to traverse these issues here) - my position is that there remains some uncertainty as to what PNC's future will look like and what recovery (if possible) will look like.
In addition, I understand some people may wish to move any capital loss forward for tax purposes - as such, I am prepared to move quickly to finalise a purchase before EOFY.
