One person can sell shares to another person usuing an off market transfer. Price price can be at any price that the stock has traded at in the last three months.

If you prepare the off market transfer forms as your sister does not have a comsec account she will be given a srn by the registry. This can take up to two weeks.

The transfer to take the stock off your chess holdings can take up to 2 weeks but usually around one week.

If she has a commonwealth bank account it is the best way. If she does not she can open one at any com bank on the spot then go into the comsec shop in pitt street and open up an account .

That will take about three days.

Otherwise the quickest way is to ring up a normal broker like Morgans....or Shaws who can open an account up in 1 day and buy the shares same day.
