The direction shorter will take depends on outcome. Unless there is exceptional news on open AVZ is likely drop like a stone.

Sad to hear your house is on the line. But you are doing the right thing by looking to get out.

Why do I say AVZ will drop like a stone, because trading realities will be

1. Sheer number of Retail investors who want to get out at any cost
2. Institutional traders/shorters will flood in
3. Retail shorters (gamblers) might want to double down
4. ETF and Tracking funds no longer allowed to hold will be selling
