Very good analysis.
There is only one reason and one reason only why this was an asset sale and not a company sale.....management wants to keep their jobs which wouldn't happen if the entire company was sold. Much easier to take a big salary and give yourself millions of options with $100 million in the bank. Of course this is done to the detriment of existing shareholders but since when does a management team think of the shareholders over themselves.
My guess is it won't matter. Within a month, Nevsun will make a hostile bid for $.35/share and take over their offices so management will lose in the end.
