I rang the Share registry Link Market Services and they said that Extract Resources had chosen to despatch the offer docs themselves (not through the registry). I wouldn't know if this is normal procedure. I then rang Extract and they said the offer announcement is to be lodge by Taurus on the ASX, and this will be today. Ext will then make their comments on the situation in a couple of days.
I think ext employees are happy to do whatever they can to keep their jobs with the new owner of the company, and I would be very suprised if they said not to accept the offer. Frustrated and disappointed!
