just looking at this VPG had a 20:1 consolidation on that basis when i sold in the GFC at 8c i did pretty well with a return on that capital of around 1100%,because i moved on to other stock and traded.

my decision back then is very reassuring now,i would be extremely unhappy,unlike some of the directors who bought huge amounts during the gfc at<8c.

just goes to show the damage financial engineering does combined with an unstable market for property--leaves you wondering what the directors were thinking they still got paid,why?---i wouldnt feed them.

i asked my accountant about balance sheets his response "with unknown off balance shhet debt they do not provide an accurate financial picture"--thats vpg

so i guess the quality of management and their ethics are more important when selecting good companys a hard lesson
