Selling micro parcels of shares in a not for profit way but to trigger stop losses is manipulation.

The one question you ask is why would you sell 100 or so shares of a company for $34? It is not to realise a position. You will usually find it is not for a 'pure' reason. Maybe a bit of light reading:

What we are seeing is manipulation.

I actually agree that this is the way the market works though. My position is that it is not supposed to be the way it works.
