Depending on the outcome of the pilot tests at Wilmington, wrt to the nuclear fuel cycle, I can see where GLE technology will be useful in not only supplying a cheap nuclear fuel, but also provide a technology that is desperately needed to get rid of existing nuclear waste and transforming it back into useful nuclear fuel once more?
This would have to help eliminate a great deal of infrastructure required for waste nuclear products burial, In fact this may actually be the main driver (cleanup of nuclear waste) as the decider on whether to go ahead with the the full commercial plant, the price of Uranium may go up and down for some time to come and new reactors will come, but the need for a solution to nuclear waste won't go away any time soon, in fact it is only becoming a larger problem it would seem and one that needs to be addressed now?

And the US is not the only place on earth with this problem?
