re: becoming a backhaul carrier! - bulldust! Dear zzedzz,

I am inclined to agree with you.

I have been bu**ered greatly by Telstra bumping up their prices over and over again for their damned underperforming and overpriced copper and - although a shareholder - have threatened to cut my fixed line service off just to spite them. (An action that has been vetoed repeatedly by my wife).

And you should hear my ranting against the banks and their stinking monopolistic "four pillars" behaviour. I deserted them ages ago and moved to a credit union.

But should we throw the baby out with the bathwater? The company employs and trains Australians. It's as big an Australian as BHP-Billiton. Will the future for us as customers and employees - rural or urban - be any better when it's owned by a US or European company?

The US and European companies don't suffer from the myopia that Federal politicians and disgruntled customers - such as myself - sometimes do.

But, God, I'd still love to see those bureaucratic, well fed, fat cats SUFFER!

Decisions we humans make tend to be more the result of emotional rather than rational processes.

Ask any marketer or salesman.
