    Oh Dear

This week 7Mar21 Kelli Underwood and the panel Belinda Clark, Jenna O'Hea and Bridie O'Donnell reflect on the year that was in women's sport on the eve of International Women's Day. This was a laudable show examining the highs and lows of the preceding year.

However, I can't help thinking that the ABC, or is it just ABC Sport, haven't got the memo - there is no such thing as a woman anymore and all the references to woman, women, female, girl, she and her must of been so triggering the LGBTQIXYZ and the woke gender neutral crowd everywhere. Surely such insensitivity must stop.

It seems hypocritical, to say the least, that the woke ABC, who are pushing wokeness and gender fluidity into our living rooms, allow this radical subversive show to blatantly disregard the most important issue of our lifetime. Kelli Underwood, ABC Sport and sport in general should be brought to heel and eliminate all references to gender specific sport NOW.

On a more serious note the panel did lament the backward step women's sport took with Covid 19 and felt that women's sport had made great strides into securing legitimate professional codes and leagues for females. Women have fought tooth and nail to achieve the recognition they deserve. Conspicuous by its absence, however, was any mention of the potential of blokes posing as females to take over the codes and undermine the very thing they were fighting for "a leagues of their own"

Come on ABC why are you still allowing women's sport gender exclusivity instead of inclusivity. The hypocrisy is palpable.

Strangely enough the show ended on a bloke kicking a 50 metre Brumbies field goal that won them the match. So much for 'women in sport' achievements.

    Cheers
    BW
