@staypuff speculation is different to wild guesses. There were breadcrumbs before the LG announcement. Among other factors, LG was a key supplier to VW (Chattanooga made ID.4).
Some of the most useful breadcrumbs atm come from NVX job ads (and the huge cleared site from their render). They've built a large and senior construction project management team up in the last 8 months. You don't do that unless you're getting ready to build something big...
Who are the current offtake front runners now? Well, you wouldn't want to look past those already announced (Samsung and Panasonic) and Tesla.
