From the little I've read on this Bob, it appears that SR Group are proposing to lodge a claim against the Compensation Scheme of Last Resort (CSLR) which appears to be a scheme set up after the banking Royal Commission findings to compensate those parties who have lost as a result of financial services failures and where the party failing either no longer exists or has insufficient assets to cover the claim.
The scheme appears to be administered by the AustralianFinancial Complaints Authority (AFCA) (afca.org.au), which was again set up following the banking Royal Commission findings earlier this year.
It seems to be completely separate to anything related to Orinoco.
Interesting thought for the legal eagles among us, if the CSLR was to pay up, would that make them a quasi creditor of Orinoco.....?
