All were knee-jerk reactions, and as the stats indicated, have not have had the desired effect.
The reason is obvious, all only affected the law abiding and responsible gun owners. In the case of the 22 ammendements, only one amendement, (it was proposed that an extra 5 years jail be added to any sentence if a firearm was involved in the offence), affected the criminal.
