Like any form of betting ring it opens the event being bet on to manipulation/corruption.
This being just on a huge scale.
The question is how does on get rid of the problem without getting rid of the shorting game?
Imo they are just another financial instrument that allows these questionable financial instos to have a bet with the masses money.
Get rid of the betting game and the problem goes.
