Dear oh deary me Ridgey. As the self professed smart guy of HC you are letting the team down. On the one hand singlehandedly, without a shred of evidence, you have diagnosed Latham an alcoholic after looking up pancreatitis on the internet and becoming an instant expert... while worrying about un-named sources for what is manifestly an accurate rendering of the truth. How do I know it must be true? Because real experts on the ME such as Robert Fisk were saying exactly the same thing long before the US invaded Iraq....
Scrafton is... what did you call him...a porn addict? Again on what evidence other than the muck rakers who always do their best to shoot any messenger that attempts to rise above the level of filth purveyed by this government. Does accessing porn on the internet make him an addict? If so then 90% of males are in the same boat. Even if it was true what difference would it make to his revelations. Totally irrelevant and you know it.
Finally, I find it amazing that someone can get so upset about such trivia as an alleged porn addict when quite manifestly, the Howard Govt have played fast and loose with Australia's national security. Let's get some sense of perspective here can we and forget about those political party affiliations? There can be no question that Australia is significantly less safe as a direct consequence of our invasion of Iraq.
The biggest joke of all is that the Howard Govt markets itself on the whole security issue when nothing could be further from the truth. Luckily the Australian public is now beginning to see this.
You may think that mundane things like the hip pocket are what win elections but I can assure you that a large slice of Australian society is not happy about what the Howard Govt has done to Australians image of themselves and about acting according to the rule of law and democratic principle. The other mob may not do any better but it's time that responsibility was taken and punishment dished out to the party that has presided over what must be one of the most disgusting periods in our history.
The LaboUr Party is really getting desparate in winding up its hate John campaign. First Scrafton turned out to be a Porn addict and now we have the famous 'un-named source'.
They have just got to stop living in the past and concentrate on what they would have to do if they actually won an election. You know, mundane things like keeping interest rates low, creating employment, defence etc. Not that Latham (the now revealed p1ss pot) is up to that; the LaboUr Party is in desparate need of statesman that can lead the party.
