Your question is incredibly wide ranging. Obviously it will depend on the applications involved and the company's business and their own risk assessments. They have each will have their own risk management profiles and boards to satisfy about new spending.
You understand this and you get what I was saying earlier about competition.
"Ask them" is still the appropriate response.
