Personally I hope the Chinese never make a takeover offer for Karoon. If we have a monster why would you want the Chinese to own Karoon 100%, become a partner by all means. I just don't understand why some holders get their rocks off at the thought of a Chinese takeover, it's the same all over HC, posters drooling at the thought of a Chinese T/O of our resource companies.
Honestly, I don't want to sound racist, but once they (Chinese) get their hands on our resources we have lost them forever, and no doubt they (Chinese) will employ Chinese workers, what's left for the Australians?
Maybe Mandarin Rudd has the right idea with his new tax, because if the Chinese have their way that's all we will have left, and, creative accounting will fix that!
Remember this, most Chinese entities are state owned.
