Here is the updated ellipse chart that I have posted often in the past, and which might be of interest to those who follow patterns.

You can see that prices are invariably contained within the price pattern of the ellipse, notwithstanding the volatility displayed, whether sudden strong moves up or down. As a result, we can form an educated guess as to the potential movement of the XJO from time to time within the bounds of the ellipse........end of ellipse often mark some turning point of sorts as well.
