Looking at the figures it seems that the government will be the only winner out of all this. If they were serious they would release monies from their (actually OUR) future funds right NOW for research into alternative energy sources. If the rest of the world does not follow the same rules, the whole exercise is pointless. But this is a nice way for the government to boost their revenue, employ another army of bureaucrats and be seen by their followers doing the right thing.
