re: looks like corby is going to die But isn't it the case that the defence has to show she that she is innocent, rather than (as in Australian law) that the prosecution has to show that she is guilty.

If that is the case, the Australian Govt. should be applying pressure, through international forums probably, to change that. In the meantime, pressure by the Australian Govt. on this particular case is appropriate as there is certainly lax security within domestic airports at the level of baggage handling. Any conviction would be unsafe under Australian law.
