That's an interesting point, when there was less enforced safety the workers took care to be EXTRA careful going about their duties. I wonder how much of OH&S is fair enough and how much is nanny state nonsense? Because we all know what happens when we let nanny do the thinking for us. We don't get to learn and grow through making mistakes and eventually we simply can't think at all anymore.
