Another thing the big fellas do is create accounts on popular stock forums with names like BillyDaMuppet1979 to create doubt and fear for new and naive investors to hopefully get their shares dirt cheap.
How many times have you read a post which has scared the crap out of you and put doubt in your mind. Although you dont know it, shortly after you sell your stock at the very lowest price and within weeks it is substantially higher.
Another example is the flash crash last night in the US stock market. Within a minute of a fake twitter tweet coming out, the market crashed and fell into negative after being up 1.5%. As soon as it dropped big buyers came in and mopped up sending the market back to 1.5%+.
Do people honestly believe the entire US stock market crashed because of a tweet?
Do not fall for these tricks imo.
