Whats, with the current price of gold and everything else for that matter, trying to squeeze a profit out of meagre ore production is a concern. I agree whilst the price is poor, focus on the larger ore bodies and mothball the remainder or stockpile with reduced staff and costs to retain the working operation.
Kiwis are a resilient bunch and will be there when the ore price returns to something reasonable.
