Well you have to say that BPT's market performance belies its actual performance.
I find it extraordinary that that price direction is often driven by the expectations of the street which is often wrong. So my question is who put the street in charge of expectations. The street is neither in charge of the company nor do they make the day to day decisions. They are unelected commentators acting like board members sometimes yet they seem to wield an inordinate amount of influence.
Do get me wrong companies feet do need to held to the fire from time to time but I have to say I do not get what is going on with BPT other than to say it's quite unusual and just wonder whose expectations are being managed here.
I agree BPT should be trading well above $2.00 just on P/E alone. I said in in previous post chaos is coming to the oil markets and I think we are on the cusp of a major upheaval with the producers making more from less and BPT eventually benefitting from the disruption.
At the end of the day what happens will not be an exemplar of the markets but a study in human nature.
