sniped this here from there -from oilman1 post.

    "Guys,

For the slow drilling through limestone so far, we expect a number of lost circulation events due to theft zones (fracture) as I illustrate using limestone cave. This happens in every wells in Atzam. The lost circulation (or no return of mud to surface) is dangerous for drilling as without mud in the hole to surface, the hole can collapse and the drillstring can get stucked. They avoid this and therefore a slow progress was expected until they case off this limestone.

We are now close to finish drilling the limestone as announced today. "

So very good news in the drill update realy, like no mention of lost mud etc so far hence the very slow cautious drilling in this hard but crumbly limestone zone spose. Brett says drilling ahead with 17 1/2 inch bit now. After conductor cassing was done dont most/all wells drill next section with a 24 inch bit to run and set 20 inch cassing- the surface cassing before drilling ahead to far with 17 1/2 bit to run the 16inch cassing-intermediate section. thinking are they only about 1 lenth of cassing from getting through this tricky section ??
