Who really cares where the price was a year ago? Traders only care about what is happening NOW. The price has collapsed from $50 to $40 - 20% in a week or two. Now for a commodity that is pretty much a crash. The way oil is weak, instead of being stronmg, during the northern winter indicates there are probably more falls to come.
