I can't remember the Greens ever being concerned about water shortages hanrahan, but I know plenty of others who have been concerned for a long time.
Greens are only concerned about polluted water to the best of my memory.
Oil has 40 - 50 years left in it before it starts to become scarce. By then alternatives to oil which the oil companies are developing now will be ready for the mass market. No problems at all.
