I’m going to have to beg to differ a little there, Mr Hus. The current spot price is always legitimate to use in NPV calculations. Any other crystal ball gazing with the unit price variable runs the risk of piling BS upon BS. Obviously, you can always what-if model with different price scenarios.
I think the stickiness of the SP relative to the rising oil price is just the psychological pendulum gathering energy for a big swing.
