Water boring?

a great play on words...if we just drill for water it would be a tad boring I would think and a waste of the resource. That is if we are simply drilling for water.

How does the geothermal thing work? From my understanding there are a few ways however the simplest way is to drill into the hotwater that is heated up naturally and then the heat is extracted and the water sent back down. Probabaly an over simplification but that is the jist of it as I understand. That being then case would that be classed as water boring?
Anything but boring in my opinion :)
