We have seen oil move from $10 to $55 while gold hasn't even risen 100%. The price of gold has no bearing on what the price of oil will be. Their uses are completely different. How many people buy oil and stick it in a bank vault or under their beds? They'd have pretty smelly bedrooms, heh?
