1555 [Dow Jones] Woodside (WPL.AU) on the nose with investors after FY result,
last A$40.05, off A$1.25. High A$41.96 struck before midday profit unveiled,
showing 55% gain to match expectations, dividend boost but also tax rate cut and
some question marks over depreciation levels. 2006 oil output estimated at 76
million barrels, up 27% on 2005 but compares with UBS tip of 77.4 million.
Cossack problems last month and failure to get Chinguetti flowing in December
hurt forecast. CEO Don Voelte says Chinguetti start now in next few days, talks
with Mauritania continue over contract dispute, ready for arbitration if
