That is my point, it only works for property. If I don't own a seaside resort then I have no right to sue. Neither have future generations suffered any loss in property. If I have lost a coral reef or an ocean, who do I sue for it?
Wouldn't that open a pandora's box? If you have taken away my livelihood and means of subsistence by polluting a river or by buying up all of the available land, what is the difference? Either way it has been taken away from me, and supposedly I can sue for one but not for the other.
