mikemennel, i read that article a few days ago about tankers being hired to store oil. i wonder about the truth of it or the commonsense of it? i would like to beleive it cause i have CVN shares, so i like oilers, but to hire tankers and leave them idle in the water? imagine the rental hire costs?
i along with the rest of the world can go "long" on us crude, nymex, or brent crude oil contracts with any CFD trader. i can buy as many contracts as i like and if it rises can sell it instantly., and make profits,
they are very liquid and transactions go thru in seconds.
so why would anyone hire tankers?
