Maybe they buy these 4X4s, and buy shares in oil co's as well, sorta like hedging. If petrol go's up..... so do their shares.
Now I know that might sound like I'm trying to be humourous, but I'm not, I had a go at my in-law about buying a V8, he looked at me and said " would I buy a V8 if I couldn't afford to run it" Also added that, for every 5 cents per litre increase at the pump, it would cost him an extra 4 bucks to fill his tank. Big deal
