I dont think you should look at the Tesla's on the road in Aust, rather focus on the rapid changing world in Europe and China. It is in the interest of the oil producing countries to low ball the EV impact. But scratch beyond that and you be surprised what you find. I agree it might not have a short term impact on oil consumption, but could well impact on the take over price of 88 in the future, if the speed of EV demand, from cars, busses, trucks, can not be swept under the carpet any longer.
