Reserves are largely irrelevant?
Sorry Whiskey - but that is future, a Co without a future is not viable (in the long term).
SIR are trading at a massive figure and have not mined a bit of Nickel? Why - because the have proven reserves / resource...
BHP have resource at Nickel West (Leinster) - but no reserves (or future resource). They have been trying to sell this asset for a while now - they can't - why? No reserves / future resource (although there is some surface drilling that has found a nice pocket)
Sorry - for me, as a long term investor - reserves are everything...
