FYI I use smaller time-frame 10 & 35-day MA's for mid-cap & small-cap mining stocks basis their exploration - & even new-issue or SPP - announcements more likely to create substantial price changes & trends. When I was taught how to use indicators, after 1st subscribing in 1999 to Market Analyser charting software, I was advised that 50 & 200 day MA's were better used for large-cap miners & industrials, not subject to wild fluctuations in SP trends - & stocks that I only ever put money into with my SMSF a long long time ago.
